Lettuce Has Sprouted!

I was excited to see that the lettuce seeds sprouted. I planted 2 seeds per hole and 4 per square. It looks like all the seeds sprouted. We will see how they do. It was difficult getting close enough to see them. Double click for larger pictures. That's a penny next to the lettuce sprout.




We are under a frost advisory tonight. Temperatures are projected to drop into the lower to mid-30s, but a hard freeze is not anticipated. Not uncommon for this time of year. Which is why we use Memorial Day as a safe planting date and even then we have to keep an eye on the weather just in case.
