First Bean Harvest!

I usually plant bush beans and pole beans. Last year we had too many beans, so I decided to forgo the bush beans. Since pole beans produce later in the season, we have been waiting for the first pods. Today they were ready for picking:



The above are Kentucky Wonder and a few Purple Trionfo.

  4. I keep thinking that I should grow purple beans since they are so much easier to find, but I love my Kentucky Wonders too much. They always get planted and nothing else.

  5. Congrats on your first pickings ! Trionfo are so lovely, mine are just starting to develop but I've managed a small Ramdor harvest this week. Finally !
